The Grants Development Office is pleased to announce that our nursing department received funds from The National Cancer Institute (part of the National Institutes of Health) to integrate a tobacco cessation training program into the nursing curriculum.
This grant is part of a collaborative proposal with Albany Medical College as the lead applicant. Albany Medical College and Hudson Valley’s nursing program have developed collaborative simulation exercises as part of multi-disciplinary education. Collaboration on the tobacco cessation counseling project is an extension of this work.
