As you may know, the Hudson Valley Community College Foundation recently completed a $10 million private fundraising campaign to benefit scholarships and academic programs at the college. Upon completion of the campaign, the Foundation embarked upon a strategic planning process, which dovetails on the college’s planning process. Our goal is to align Foundation activities with the needs and priorities of the college in order to best serve students and the college community.
The Foundation surveyed key stakeholder groups (employees, donors, alumni, business partners, Senior Staff and the college Board of Trustees) to elicit feedback. The employee community’s response was impressive, and we’d like to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who responded to the survey. We are in the process of compiling and reviewing anonymous responses, but what we’ve seen so far is enormously helpful and constructive. Specifically, we can already see the need for the Foundation to enhance communications, visibility and transparency, particularly among the employee family.
