In one of two changes, office supplies now will be purchased through Staples using an NJPA (National Joint Powers Alliance) contract.
For the second change, the campus will be able to purchase office supplies through Office Depot Max. I am awaiting final word from Office Depot Max that end users have been setup and have access to the Office Depot Max website for purchases. When this website has been finalized, I will notify the campus.
Both contracts includes more office supply items than the state contract.
The change to the Staples contract is transparent to the end user. The Stapleslink website, and your sign on to access this website remain the same. The new contract number that now should appear on your Banner requisition for office supply purchases through Stapleslink is NJPA contract #031210.
In addition to the office supply contract, furniture may now be purchased under this Staples NJPA contract. The Staples account representative who will be handling furniture purchases will compare the state contract and the NJPA contract, and come up with the purchasing solution that meets your needs.
