Bb 9.1 April 2014
Faculty and staff regularly take advantage of the comprehensive collection of Blackboard tutorials that they access through the Distance Learning Faculty/Staff support page.
Did you know, though, that what Blackboard calls “page help” is also readily available to faculty and staff, regardless of what they may be working on in their Blackboard course or organization?
The button for activating Blackboard “page help” is located to the right of the Edit Mode toggle button on the Announcements page of your course/organization. However, it only appears when Edit Mode is set to ON, and you also must toggle the “page help” button to activate the help feature in your course/organization. See the following screenshot:
Once “page help” is activated, you can quickly receive information, definitions, or instructions pertaining to any Blackboard feature, tool, etc., that you may be working with. You do so by selecting the More Help link that appears in the light grey banner at the top of whatever Blackboard window that you are working in.
The following screenshot illustrates how you would access “page help” when working in the Discussion Board area of your course/organization
Using Blackboard “page help,” you thus have at your finger tips a rich resource for readily learning about—or learning more about—essentially any Blackboard tool, feature, or function.
