On Tuesday, Dec. 2, the Hudson Valley Community College Foundation will participate in #GivingTuesday, a day dedicated to giving everywhere across the world. It’s a moment for charities, businesses, community organizations, families and others to come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give back.
The Foundation will launch a one-day online and social media campaign on #GivingTuesday. I hope you’ll consider making a contribution. On campus, you can make a gift in person and receive some great giveaways. The Foundation’s staff will be in the Siek Campus Center from noon to 4 p.m. Click Give Now to donate online.
The Foundation’s objective is to inspire donations of any size from 200 “change makers” – alumni, students, parents, faculty, administrators, partners and friends – to directly benefit our students and college community. Tax-deductible donations to the Foundation support scholarships, academic initiatives, faculty enrichment and technology on campus.
To encourage participation, alumnus Dave Fry ’64 has agreed to match every dollar raised, up to $2,000. “Hudson Valley Community College invested in me when I was a student; now it is my turn to invest in Hudson Valley,” said Fry.
