African Wildlife Conservation and Preservation: The Dame Sheldrick Story
Course Description
This course will introduce students to the broader idea of conservation while exploring a real-life story of what animal preservation and wildlife conservation is, and how one person can effectuate change on a global basis. Students will critically analyze indigenous animal life and conservation policy through the development of African land, and the conflicting struggles that arose to preserve its natural beauty and the successful rescue of African wildlife, specifically elephants.
