The Human Services Club decided to do something different this year. After hearing about the demand being placed on our Food Pantry from Student Activities, the club decided to respond to the needs of students in a new way this holiday season.
The goal of the Human Services Club always is to help fellow students. With the help of Student Activities and Alfredo Balarin, 10 Hudson Valley student families were identified and received holiday food baskets. Baskets were complete with everything one would need for a complete holiday meal, including a ham or turkey and desserts.
Additionally, the club donated more than $200 worth of food to the Hudson Valley Food Pantry as part of this holiday initiative.
