Demolition and asbestos abatement on the third floor of Fitzgibbons has been completed and the beginning of the renovation to consolidate Individual Studies and Instructional Support Services in one area has begun. The work is expected to continue through July.
Access will be limited to the third floor of Fitz and there may be some noise that will briefly impact activities in the rest of the building.
Physical Plant will do everything possible to limit the impact to classes and work areas during this construction project.
When completed, the third floor also will have four new classrooms and energy efficient windows, lighting and HVAC systems. The project will also upgrade water piping and ceilings in the second floor of the building.
