The Voices: A Library Lecture Series Committee is pleased to present “Rehabbing an Historic Farmhouse into a Net-Zero Energy Green Home” by Professor Joanne Coons on Tuesday, Feb. 24 from noon to 12:50 p.m. in the BTC Auditorium.
The Peters-Lockrow farmhouse in Clifton Park was built in the 1830s and had been vacant for a decade. It had holes in the roof, water in the basement and a menagerie of animals living inside. Joanne Coons, professor of Building Technology at Hudson Valley Community College, discusses rehabbing this farmhouse using green building practices, while maintaining its historical integrity.
