Slavery expert speaks Feb. 19

Manisha Sinha, Ph.D., University of Massachusetts at Amherst, speaks Thursday, Feb. 19 as part of the Created Equal: America’s Civil Rights Struggle series sponsored by Dwight Marvin Library.  Dr. Sinha appeared in the film “The Abolitionists” to provide commentary on the history of American slavery.  Author of numerous books, Dr. Sinha has also been recognized for excellence in undergraduate teaching.

The event is free and open to the campus and the community. All are welcome.

Created Equal: America’s Civil Rights Struggle is made possible through a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, as part of its Bridging Cultures initiative, in partnership with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.
