Foundation Friday: Two alumni join Board of Directors

The Foundation’s Board of Director recently welcomed two alumni to its Board of Directors. Steve Kasselman ’11 and Mary McLaughlin ’93 are ready to serve the college in this volunteer capacity.

Steve obtained his B.A. from Siena College in 2010 and then came to Hudson Valley to take electrical theory and construction classes he needed to gain technical expertise in the electrical construction industry. He then founded his own company Kasselman Solar, which is now the highest-rated local solar installation company by local homeowners and performing high profile projects such as SUNY Albany’s Campus Center Solar PV Array.

Mary owns and operates Mason and McLoughlin Funeral Home in Troy, the oldest family owned funeral home in Troy. Her family has a legacy at Hudson Valley with several generations who attended the college. Her late husband, Michael, was a beloved faculty member in the Mortuary Science department.

We are thrilled to have their support as they work to help make the college the best place possible for our students.
