On Thursday February 5, the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) hosted the Joining Community Forces of Upstate New York monthly meeting.
The Joining Community Forces initiative is supplemental to the organization line of effort, to link with is already in place within the military and the community. They aim to foster a sustainable network of local community support.
More than 30 representatives from local non-profit and government agencies gathered to share and discuss resources for veterans and their families in the greater Capital Region. After a short presentation from one of the partners, The Legal Project, agencies had the opportunity to share their mission and make announcements to members of other agencies.
The Joining Community Forces initiative plans on meeting on a regular basis and would like to invite anyone who would like to listen or share resources.
