On Monday, May 4 at 2 p.m. in Science Center 105, Dr. John Tine will present information on UAlbany’s new four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Bio-instrumentation. Highlights of this degree program are:
- Complements and extends Hudson Valley’s A.S. Biology and Biotechnology majors
- Accepts graduates with a BSC or BIO A.S. degree for transfer
- Develops an in-depth knowledge of the theory & operation of state-of-the-art instrumentation currently in demand in biomedical, biology, biotechnology and public health laboratories
- Provides strong background in biological sciences plus major public health issues
- Hands-on research experiences through internships in University laboratories
- Real-world experience through cooperative training internships at local biotechnology companies or academic laboratories.
