Melanie Hecker has received an honorable mention for her 2015 Garfinkel Essay submission. This year’s topic was LGBT: The Road to Equality — How have the New York Courts addressed equal human rights for the LGBT Community in the Workplace?
Melanie worked independently on her essay throughout the spring semester in the Marvin Library and is very deserving of this distinction! Honorable mention designates Melanie’s essay as one of the 14 best submissions to this year’s contest, which is a significant accomplishment considering the number of essays submitted from across the state.
