The Educational Opportunity Center‘s Culinary Arts program will offer two varieties of chowder as a participant in the ninth annual Chowderfest on Sunday, Oct. 11 in downtown Troy.
Chowderfest, presented by the Troy Business Improvement District (BID), will take place along River Street near the Green Island Bridge. The event begins at noon and officially ends at 4 p.m. But often the chowder runs out long before then, so arrive early! We hope to see you there!
The EOC’s two chowders will be an old-fashioned clam steam chowder with sweet potato chip and a creamy, Clam’s Casino chowder. The Culinary Arts students won two awards — Judges’ Choice (second place) and People’s Choice (third place) – at the eighth annual Chowderfest last fall, the first time the EOC entered the popular competition.
