Prepare for a career in the Photovoltaic (Solar) Energy industry with the Workforce Development Institute’s PV Entry-level Photovoltaics, a 40-hour blended classroom/online or online-only training course. Learn the fundamentals of photovoltaic (PV) systems design and installation!

WDI’s next PV class is Feb. 9 – April 5, 2016 — Tuesday evening classes plus online for the blended class OR you can take the course entirely online!

PV-Entry Level Photovoltaics Blended Classroom/Online meets weekly in-class and online. Students also can participate in the optional Saturday morning workshop sessions.

PV-Entry Level Photovoltaics Online-only allows the student to work at his or her own pace. Instructor support is available and students who live locally can participate in the optional Saturday morning workshop sessions.

WDI’s PV-Entry Level Online curriculum utilizes lab videos prepared by Workforce Development Institute instructors specifically for this course. Additional course content includes narrated slide show presentations, randomized chapter quizzes, and discussion forums. An instructor is available for feedback on assignments and to discuss technical questions.

The objective of the course is to prepare students for the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) PV Entry Level Exam.

Prerequisites: Minimum 10th grade-level reading and math skills; previous electrical training/experience helpful.
Tuition: $750
