The Center for Careers and Transfer offers career and transfer services at Hudson Valley Community College.

Schenectady County Sheriff Department will be in the Campus Center, first floor, on Tuesday, Feb. 9  from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to recruit for the Correction Officer exam.

The filing deadline is Feb. 22, 2016 and the exam date is April 9, 2016. Minimum qualifications are a high school diploma or GED. Candidates must possess a valid NYS driver’s license at the time of appointment and maintain such license throughout the tenure of employment. Individuals must be a Schenectady, Albany, Montgomery, Saratoga or Schoharie County resident for at least one month before the exam.

Students are encouraged to work with the Center for Careers and Transfer early in their career at Hudson Valley Community College. Staff counselors can advise students on transfer course selection, GPA requirements and other details that will best prepare you for transferring to the college of your choice.

The Center for Careers and Transfer is sponsoring a Transfer Fair on Wednesday, March 9. Come to the Campus Center, first floor and speak directly with transfer counselors from over 90 colleges and universities. Visit our Web page for additional information.
