Members of a new college Retention Committee will address college-wide retention efforts and needs, and forward recommendations related to enhancing and increasing student persistence to the Enrollment Committee.
The Committee will receive input from members of the college community as needed to address the retention goals listed in the Hudson Valley Community College Strategic Enrollment Plan 2014-2018: Increase fall to spring retention rate from 74 percent to 76 percent by 2018 by one half of one percent a year; increase fall to fall retention rate from 54 percent to 57 percent by 2018 by one half of one percent a year.
Committee membership includes Dawn Kolakoski and Kathleen Sweener, co-chairs, Karen Ferrer-Muniz, liaison to the Enrollment Committee, Alfredo Balarin, Clement Campana, David Clickner, Alycia Courter, Margaret Geehan, Patricia Hyland, DeAnne Martocci, Gina Ricci, Phillip White, and a student to be appointed by the Student Senate.
