Employees and students are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items to the Student Food Pantry, located in the Student Activities Office, Campus Center 210.
Students can utilize the pantry twice a month, and collect two bags of donated goods each visit.
The Senate also has extended its “sock drawer” campaign, which collects purchased undergarments (socks, underwear, women’s wear, diapers, toiletries etc.) that are available to students and/or donated to area homeless shelters each month.
The Student Food Pantry and “sock drawer” are a great offering for many students at Hudson Valley who may not be aware that these services are available, according to Louis Coplin, director of Student Life. Coplin said many donations are received from academic departments and student clubs.
Please bring your non-perishable items and newly-purchased undergarments and/or toiletries to the Student Activities Office at your convenience.
