Financial Aid Holds at Midterm
After you have submitted mid-term grades, you may have students requesting verification of class participation from you.
THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR THEIR FINANCIAL AID.
Students who receive fall “F” grades at midterm will not receive further disbursements of federal financial aid funds unless they submit verification from their instructor(s) to the Financial Aid Office that they have been actively participating in (all) class(es) AFTER April 15, 2016 (or your “Z” grade date).
If you submit a statement of participation for your student to our office, we request that you include your “Z” grade policy.
— Active participation can include handing in assignments, taking tests/quizzes/exams, and class discussions.
