CQ Researcher: In-depth reports on today’s issues

Need a research topic idea? Looking for a thorough overview of a present-day issue?

Check our Current Events display located on the main level of the Marvin Library, adjacent to the Current Periodicals area, featuring CQ (Congressional Quarterly) Researcher. Each week, CQ Researcher publishes an in-depth and unbiased report on a controversial topic. These reports are available from the library website , are updated weekly and are a great starting point for research papers.

Through the end of spring 2016, we are highlighting the subject of religious freedom (as seen below). Prior to this, the display was on video games and learning. This week’s feature reports is Defeating the Islamic State: Should the U.S. deploy ground troops to fight ISIS?  Volume 26, Issue 13, April 1, 2016. Included are visuals, charts, graphs, chronology of key events, debates, extensive bibliographies for additional info. and so much more.

Browse our Current Events display and have a look at CQ Researcher, as well as books on display (available for checkout). Help yourself!
