28th annual Special Programs Award Ceremony is Friday, May 6

 

The campus community is invited to the 28th annual Special Programs Awards Ceremony  (SPAC) at noon on Friday, May 6 iu the BTC Auditorium.

The ceremony recognizes students enrolled with the Center for Access and Assistive Technology (CAAT), Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) and International Students who will graduate in May.

Over 150 students will receive a certificate of excellence. Special awards will be presented to students from each program who have earned the highest grade point average and recognition for outstanding academic achievement.

Harold Horace, a member of the Class of 2015, will be guest speaker. Horace is a certified recovery coach, Veteran Services Specialist and Peer Advocate.

Debra Story, retired Hudson Valley Community College comptroller, will be awarded the Special Programs Committee’s Life Time Achievement Award.
