Hudson Valley Community College, in cooperation with the North Greenbush Police Department, will hold an active shooter drill in and around the college’s Lang Hall from approximately 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6.
This simulation will be a live event, with a full, staged response from both law enforcement and the college community. Classes will be in session during the drill and the campus community has been informed that the drill will take place. College personnel and the Department of Public Safety have been instructed to react as if it were a real emergency event.
The active shooter drill is the result of ongoing work and preparation headed by the college’s Emergency Preparedness Committee.
