Stressed about exams? Anxious about that research paper?
Hero the Therapy Dog is here to help!

Come to the Troy Savings Bank Charitable Foundation Atrium in the Marvin Library Learning Commons on
Tuesday, May 10 from noon – 2 p.m.
to decompress, have fun, and relax.
Take a few minutes out to recharge your batteries!

Research has demonstrated that interacting with an animal can lower feelings of anxiety and stress, lower blood pressure, and improve mood and sense of well being. Therapy dogs undergo extensive training and ongoing testing to meet the highest safety standards. Therapy dogs can be found in schools, nursing homes, hospitals, and increasingly,  on college campuses. These canine critters help students cope with the stress of exams, provide support to students, faculty and staff; and are sure to get the happy endorphins flowing.  For more information on the benefits of therapy dogs on college campuses during high stress times, visit the library’s Research Genius Wellness guide!

Don’t forget to take time out Tuesday, May 10 between noon and 2 p.m. to unwind with Hero. He will remind you there is light at the end of the spring 2016 semester tunnel!
