An opening reception is Monday, June 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Exhibition Hall. Museum hours are Museum Hours 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays – Sundays, closed Mondays including Independence Day (Monday, July 4).
A panel of jurors selects work for the Best of SUNY Student Art Exhibition from the fall 2015 and the spring 2016 student art exhibitions at the State University Plaza in downtown Albany. The works on exhibit at the New York State Museum represent the wide range of media being studied by art students within SUNY and cover the traditional areas of drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, and sculpture, as well as digital imaging, photography, and mixed media installations.
The SUNY Student Art Exhibitions began in 2002 with the goal of bringing the accomplished work of SUNY’s student artists to a wider and more diverse audience. This mission continues with the ninth installment of the exhibition at the New York State Museum.
