The SUNY New Paltz Division of Engineering Programs is hosting an engineering camp, TINKER, this summer for high school girls. TINKER is designed to expose girls incoming 9th -11th grades to different disciplines of engineering while debunking common misconceptions about engineering that prevent women from entering this field.
Camp activities include:
Hands-on projects
Teamwork exercises
Tours of local engineering companies
Connecting with peers
August 1 – 5, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- For incoming 9th-11th grade high school female students
- Fee: $400
- Registration is now open! Register at TinkerGirls.org, select “SUNYNew Paltz” as the program.
- Registration closes by July 8.
- Banquet, closing ceremony on Friday evening for parents
