College Foundation receives grant

The college’s Grants Development Office is pleased to announce receipt of an award from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. The college will receive up to $18,995 with which to purchase a Lifepak AED (automated external defibrillator) and accessories for use by students in the Cardiorespiratory and Emergency Medicine Department.

Having a new, state-of-the-art Lifepak 15 available for student use and practice will greatly enhance the learning experience and allow graduates to become more confident in their abilities in emergency situations, reducing stress and response time.

Patricia Hyland, chair of the Caridorespiratory and Emergency Medicine Department, assisted with preparation of the grant application.
