Faculty member is named after Mother Teresa

 

Theresa Gil, a professor in the History, Philosophy and Social Sciences department, knew Mother Teresa as a child and is named after the nun, who was canonized as St. Teresa of Calcutta on Sept. 4, 2016 at the Vatican.

Read more here about a relationship that was fostered by Gil’s late aunt, Eileen Egan, who was a Catholic Relief Services worker and assisted Mother Teresa in India in the 1950s.
