It is with deep regret that I inform the campus of the death of Bette Frisino on Friday, Oct. 14.
Bette worked at Hudson Valley for over 30 years serving in a number of positions including Registrar, Director of Student Services Information Technology, and finally Director of Functional Support Services. In 2000, she was honored with the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Professional Services in recognition of her outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the college. She had a profound impact on the Hudson Valley community, both professionally and personally, and she will be sorely missed.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main St., Schaghticoke. Family and friends are invited to visit with Bette’s family from 1 to 3 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in the Miller Town Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in memory of Bette be made to Carriage House Arts Center at Living Resources, 300 Washington Avenue Ext., Albany, NY 12203.
Her obituary was published in the Times Union.
