The Voices: A Library Lecture Series Committee is pleased to present “Eyes Wide Open: Human Trafficking in the Capital Region” by Debbie Fowler on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. in the BTC Auditorium.
Every year, thousands of women and girls are forced into human trafficking right in our own community. Debbie Fowler, founder of Eyes Wide Open NENY, Inc. in Schenectady and author of “Fragrance in the Desert,” discusses the atrocities of human trafficking and the mission of her organization to provide restorative care, hope and sanctuary to its survivors.
Joanne Van Genderen will be displaying her artwork in an exhibition, entitled “Human Trafficking: An Artist’s Response,” in the foyer of the auditorium.
