Día de Muertos presentation Tuesday, Nov. 1

 

Associate Professor Malu Benton, Department of English, Foreign Languages, and English as a Second Language, presents “Día de Muertos: A Discussion of a Mexican Tradition” on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. in the Marvin Library Learning Commons multipurpose room.  All are invited to attend this 50-minute presentation in coordination with the Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) Altare exhibit on display in the Troy Savings Bank Charitable Foundation Atrium on the first floor of the library.

Professor Benton will describe Día de Muertos, a traditional Mexican custom observed on Nov. 2. The presentation is held in conjunction with the exhibit of an Altar de Muertos displayed on the first floor of the library through November 4.

Through the generosity of the Department of English, Foreign Languages, and English as a Second Language, attendees will be presented with chocolate skulls.
