The Voices: A Library Lecture Series Committee is pleased to present “The Elephant in the Room: Addiction, a Family and Community Disease” by Brian Farr on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at noon in the BTC Auditorium.
How do we spot addiction, understand the difference between sobriety and recovery, and support the recovery process? Brian Farr, a professor in the Chemical Dependency Counseling Program at Hudson Valley Community College, leads a panel discussion with representatives from Friends of Recovery New York (FOR), a Hudson Valley Community College student in recovery and a local substance abuse clinician.
