Ever wondered if an electric car would suit you, but didn’t want to commit to a three-year lease? Well, here’s your chance to lease an all-electric 2015 Nissan Leaf for a year!
Specifically, I’m hoping to find someone to take over the final year of my three-year lease. I recently inherited my mother’s car, and don’t need two cars to get around. The initial deposit already is paid, so you would just take over the monthly payment of $244.75 a month. At the end of November 2017, return the car to the dealer (Destination Nissan on Central Avenue) or if you like the car a lot, negotiate to buy it.
It’s a beautiful little car – a 2015 Nissan Leaf SV 4-door hatchback in Morning Sky blue. It has heated seats (both front and rear), heated steering wheel, backup camera and warning beeper, CD player, and Bluetooth capability. It comes with a charger connector which allows it to charge from any standard 3-pronged outlet; it also has the standard fast-charge plug and a plug for extra-fast charging when that technology becomes widely available. No more worrying about gas prices or oil changes!
In case you aren’t aware, the Hudson Valley Community College parking garage has a number of parking spots reserved for electric cars, complete with outlets for plugging them in. In addition, many of the local Hannafords and Price Choppers are installing charging stations. You can plug in and charge up while you shop for groceries!
