Congratulations to Lori Purcell and the Mortuary Science faculty and staff for a successful re-accreditation by the Committee on Accreditation (COA) of the American Board of Funeral Service Education.
The COA acknowledged the significant effort put forth to achieve re-accreditation. The identified program strengths included the quality of the on-campus embalming facility, financial support of the program and general administrative support particularly in assessment. In addition, the COA recognized the improved NBE scores and the considerable efforts of the new department chair. The re-accreditation is for the full seven (7) years.
I would personally like to thank Lori Purcell, Matt Lansing, Suzanne Pohlmann and all of the faculty and staff who helped to make this happen!
