Dr. Michael S. Green, vice president for Technology, Institutional Assessment and Planning, will receive the 2017 Eastern Educational Research Association’s Distinguished Service Award at the group’s annual meeting in February in Richmond, VA.
“[The] honor to be bestowed upon you was the result of a nomination by your peers who particularly noted your longstanding commitment to the Association and your outstanding service to the Board,” EERA President Michael T. Miller, a dean at the University of Arkansas, wrote in recent letter to Dr. Green.
Dr. Green has been an EERA member for more than 30 years and has served its Board of Directors as secretary, treasurer and president from 2003 to 2005.
EERA is an organization for educational professionals interested in conducting and disseminating research that improves education for all in both formal and non-formal settings. For nearly 40 years, it has been one of the country’s most successful educational research organizations serving the eastern United States. EERA is affiliated with the American Educational Research Association.
