Call to order by sign in

Review of minutes from November 28th and January 30th meetings.

1.0    Continuing Discussions

— IRC Sponsored Educational Technology Workshop at Faculty Workshop Day

— Suggested By-Laws Revisions (Membership/Changes in Ex-Officio Titles/Roles)

— Membership Recruitment Efforts—Spring Senate Elections

— Survey of Faculty Use of Instructional Technology and Digital Learning Materials

— Open SUNY Plus/Institutional Readiness Approval Process

2.0   Upcoming Changes in Educational Technologies

— Brenda and Bob will lead a discussion regarding present and future use of VHS tapes on campus.

— Update from the Instructional Technologies Department—Approved digital multimedia upgrade of 40 instructional spaces for 2017-2018.  Classrooms have been chosen for summer upgrade, we are working on providing additional faculty training opportunities for using new digital multimedia switchers before leaving for summer vacation.

— IRC related efforts to create faculty training opportunities on new multimedia builds prior to end of THIS semester.

3.0   Instructional Resources Forum

— Topics of concern and/or of interest to committee members.

From the Bylaws of the Academic Senate:

Purpose. The Instructional Resources Committee is responsible for recommending those matters involving policies governing the development and utilization of all learning and instructional resource facilities.

Responsibilities. The Instructional Resources Committee is specifically responsible for:

1.     formulating, evaluating, approving and recommending policies regarding instructional resources and services in support of classroom instruction and the overall educational process;
2.     identifying and evaluating available instructional resources and services and making recommendations concerning the development and implementation of those resources and services which support classroom instruction and the overall educational process, including but not limited to, the library, instructional media, computer, laboratory usage.
