Scholarships for Fall 2017

 

Before you head out on Spring Break, don’t forget to apply for Foundation scholarships!

There are over 150 scholarships available and often there are no or few applicants.  It’s very easy to apply online at http://www.hvcc.edu/scholarships/returning.html and the program tells you which scholarships you are eligible for.

Here are a few scholarships where application levels are low – if you apply, your chances of receiving one of these scholarships is better than average:

For Automotive majors: Albany Rods & Kustoms, Inc. Scholarship, Harold M. Perkins Automotive Technology Scholarship, Robert J. Kufs Memorial Scholarship, Clarence Charles Sliter, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

For Civil Engineering or Construction Technology majors: Rensselaer County Association of Town Superintendents of Highways Scholarship, Ryan W. Gardner Memorial Scholarship, Sean Anthony Kelleher Memorial Scholarship, Abbott L. Wiley Scholarship Sponsored by Wiley Bros., Inc.

For Criminal Justice majors: Raymond J. Stastny Memorial Scholarship, Robert J. McKinley Memorial Scholarship, Michael Such Criminal Justice Scholarship, Professor Ronald Dow Criminal Justice Scholarship

For EOC graduates: Dr. Joseph J. Bulmer Educational Opportunity (EOC) Scholarship, Hollie Sharp Lainhart Memorial Scholarship

For Veterans: Marine Sergeant William D. Powers Scholarship, Roy J. McDonald ’67 G.I. Scholarship, Tri-County Council of Vietnam Era Veterans and Gold Star Mothers Scholarship

For any program:
The Dewar Foundation Scholarship (Oneonta High School grad)
Scholarship for Dependents of HVCC Faculty & Staff
John H. and Hazel Hayes Atwater Memorial Scholarship (student with documented disability)
Kevin H. Davidson Memorial Scholarship (preference for Averill Park grad)
The Women’s Fund of the Capital Region Scholarship (Female Age 25 or older)
Madeline P. Feist Scholarship (Student retraining or getting first degree)
Frank J. Ryan ’69 Memorial Scholarship (Troy High School grad)
