— 3.1 New Course – MTSC 134– Embalming Anatomy – Submitted by Lori Purcell

The department seeks approval for a new course.

— 3.2 Change in Degree Requirements – Mortuary Science A.A.S. -Submitted by Lori Purcell

The department seeks to make a change in degree requirements to replace the current BIOL 134 with the new course MTSC 134.

— 3.3 Change in Prerequisites – ENGL 137- Writing for the Media-Submitted by Maria Palmara

The department proposes the removal of ENGL 130 as a prerequisite for this course.

— 3.4 New Course – HIST 150 – Modern Japan – Submitted by Stuart J. Smyth

The proposed course provides a valuable addition to the college’s history offerings covering material on one of the most important countries in the world today.

— 3.5 Change in Corequisites – ACTG 216 – Advanced Bookkeeping Applications – Submitted by Ricky Thibodeau

The department proposes the removal of ACTG 111 as a corequisite for this course.

The department is proposing changes to the certificate requirements in accordance with recommendations from the faculty and advisory board.

The department is proposing changes in degree requirements that allow students to strengthen their skill set for the workplace and remove content redundancy in course requirements.

A change in course title is proposed to better reflect course content.

The proposal updates the title changes and provides for consistency in the requirement of a “C or better” for core courses in the degree.

— 3.11 Reintroduction of Course after 7 Semester Hiatus/No Changes –ECHO 284 – Fetal Echocardiography – Submitted by Linda Desnoyers

The department seeks to offer this course again in response to the growing need in the field for 3D and 4D fetal imaging.

The proposal provides for consistency in the requirement of a “C or better” for core courses in the degree.
