The Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office holds a Domestic Violence Conference from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center.
The event will focus on understanding victim’s rights, medical impact and prosecution of strangulation cases and will feature the following speakers:
— Professor Mary Lynch, Albany Law School
— David Warren, service director, Domestic Violence Services, Unity House of Troy
— Dr. John Janikas, director of Emergency Medicine at Albany Memorial, St. Mary’s and Samaritan hospitals
— Lisa Baehre, assistant district attorney, Niagara County
— Bob Passonno, coordinator of the Criminal Justice Training Programs for the NYS Office of Prevention of Domestic Violence
— Kelly Fox, survivor
