Work by Tara Fracalossi, assistant professor, and Thomas Lail, professor, is included in “Taconic North,” an invitational exhibition of small works from regional artists, opening April 15 at LABspace in Hillsdale, NY.
The exhibition, curated by Susan Jennings and Julie Torres, is on view through Sunday, June 11. An opening reception with the artists is Saturday, April 15 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
This is a very large show of very small works organized in the same, inclusive spirit as LABspace, a nexus of community and creative expression. The curators share a love of tiny artworks and packed the exhibition with local artists in order to expand and strengthen these connections. “Taconic North” is a celebration of area artists and creative community. Events planned during the exhibition include
music performances, readings, talks, brainstorming/creative sessions and cocktail gatherings.
LABspace is located at 2462 NY Route 23 in Hillsdale, NY, just west of NY Route 22. Gallery Hours are Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and some Sundays or by appointment (labspaceart@gmail.com). Visit the gallery’s Facebook page or blog (http://labspaceart.blogspot.com/).
