To Students, Faculty and Staff:
Hudson Valley Community College, in cooperation with the New York National Guard 2nd Civil Support Team, will hold an emergency drill in and around the Joseph L. Bruno Stadium between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12.
The drill will prompt a staged response from local law enforcement, Public Safety and members of the college’s Emergency Preparedness Committee. Please expect to see military vehicles, police and local emergency response personnel on campus.
The campus community also will receive messages that test college communication tools, potentially including the building public address system, email, phone, website and social media channels. (The SUNY-NY Alert system will not be deployed in this instance as it is maintained and tested by the NYS Emergency Management Office.) All messages will identify the exercise as a drill intended to further enhance the safety of our campus.
