A conversation with Congressman Paul Tonko today (April 21) at noon

U.S. Representative Paul Tonko will be on campus Friday, April 21 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the BTC Auditorium for an informal meeting with students, faculty and staff. The campus community is encouraged to attend.

Professor Matt Zembo of the History, Philosophy and Humanities Department, invited Congressman Tonko to Hudson Valley Community College. A goal is to engage students and the broader campus community in a discussion about federal issues; to raise general awareness of topics federal legislators now are addressing, and to inform students of current trends and topics related to federal policy.

A former NYS Assemblyman, Congressman Tonko represents New York’s 20th Congressional District, including all of Albany and Schenectady Counties and parts of Montgomery, Rensselaer and Saratoga Counties. He is serving his fifth term, after first being elected to Congress in 2008.

Professor Zembo will moderate Friday’s conversation and time will be allowed for questions from the audience.
