29th Annual Special Program Awards Ceremony on Friday, May 5

 

The campus community is invited to the 29th annual Special Programs Awards Ceremony from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, May 5, in the BTC Auditorium.

More than 150 students enrolled in the college’s Center for Access and Assistive Technology (CAAT), Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), Graduation Achievement Placement (GAP), and the International Student Affairs Department will be recognized for their academic achievements. The students also have completed degree requirements for their associate’s degree and will participate in the May 13 commencement ceremony.

Angelica A. Morris, executive director of the Schenectady County Human Rights Commission, will be the guest speaker. Morris is member of the Class of 1999.

Kathleen Petley, college registrar,  will be honored with the Life Time Achievement Award  for over 30 years of excellence in professional service to the students, faculty and staff at Hudson Valley Community College.
