President’s June report to the Board of Trustees

The college’s Board of Trustees met on Tuesday, June 27, and I’m pleased to share my report with faculty and staff.

A major highlight of the report concerns Middle States:

I am pleased to report that on June 22, the Middle States Commission voted to accept the monitoring report and that no further action is needed. Congratulations to Michael Green and his team for closing the loop. The next evaluation visit is scheduled for 2023-2024.

The report also provides updates on both summer and fall enrollment, and the accompanying materials includes the Foundation’s year-end report.

Reminder: The Capital District Educational Opportunity Center’s graduation ceremony is Thursday, June 29 in the McDonough Sports Complex at 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

The Board of Trustees meets next on Tuesday, Aug. 29. The regular board meeting follows the committee meetings that begin at 4:30 p.m. in GUN 148. All Board meetings are open to the public.
