The Voices: A Library Lecture Series Committee is pleased to present “From Target to Tourist: Building Forgiveness” by John Brownrigg on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 11 a.m. in the BTC Auditorium.
A special operations officer during the Vietnam War, Brownrigg tells the moving story of his return to Vietnam to dedicate a compassion house. Compassion houses are built and funded by veterans for victims of the war. This particular house was for a widow who lost two sons to the affects of Agent Orange. Brownrigg shares how this return closed old wounds and opened his mind, enabling him to learn more about the culture of Vietnam.
