Please assist the Center for Access and Assistive Technology with providing access to the learning environment for students with disabilities.
We have seen many of our separate desks and chairs in the building hallways this semester, rather than in the classrooms to which they have been assigned. This creates a difficult learning environment for both the student and faculty. It is difficult to teach when the furniture has been removed from the classroom. This furniture has been placed there specifically to accommodate a student with a disability.
Physical Plant and the Central Receiving work very hard to place this accessible furniture in the designated locations for students with disabilities, and it creates more work for them, as well, when the furniture disappears.
