Located in NYSERDA’s Saratoga Technology and Energy Park (STEP) in Malta, NY, HVCC North is an extension center of Hudson Valley Community College that offers educational opportunities and workforce training in the highly growing fields of healthcare, STEM and skilled trades.
The site consists of two-state-of-the-art buildings: the Training and Education Center for Semiconductor Manufacturing and Alternative and Renewable Technologies, known as TEC-SMART, and the newly-constructed STEM Education Center.
Together, they feature nearly two dozen specialized classrooms and laboratories that offer both credit-bearing coursework and non-credit classes to high school students, college students and industry employees in workforce training programs.
Coursework in the following programs can be completed almost entirely at HVCC North:
- Clean Energy Management A.A.S
- Electrical Construction and Maintenance A.O.S
- Electrical Engineering Technology – Electronics A.A.S
- Engineering Science A.S.
- Health Sciences Certificate
Students may also take general education, business, liberal arts and humanities and a variety of science courses during the fall, spring and summer semesters.
