The Election Committee of the Academic Senate is calling for nominations for the following vacant positions on the Academic Senate and the Standing Committees of the Senate. This is the fall interim elections, therefore we are filling only those positions that are vacant, not any position currently filled.
If you self-nominate or decide to accept a nomination, please prepare a short paragraph, four sentences or so, stating a few facts about yourself and your desire to be a part of the Academic Senate. These short bios will be posted to the Academic Senate Community on Blackboard under the Committees/Election Committee for all the Hudson Valley Community to access.
Please send all nominations to senateelections@hvcc.edu. The last day to place a nomination will be Oct. 19.
The following positions are available on the Academic Senate:
1 Full-time Faculty position for the School of Health Sciences, term ending in 2012,
5 Full-time Faculty positions for the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, terms ending in 2013,
1 Full-time Faculty position for the School of Engineering and Industrial Technologies, term ending in 2014, and
1 Full-time Classified position, term ending in 2014.
The following positions are available on the following Standing Committees.
Curriculum Committee:
1 Full-time Faculty position for the term ending 2012 and
1 Full-time Faculty position for the term ending in 2013.
Personnel Resources Committee:
1 Full-time Faculty position, term ending in 2012.
Student Life Committee:
1 Full-time Faculty position, term ending in 2012,
1 Full-time Faculty position, term ending in 2013,
3 Full-time Faculty positions, term ending in 2014.
Planning Committee:
2 Full-time Faculty positions, term ending in 2013 and
1 Full-time Faculty position, term ending in 2014.
Instructional Resources Committee:
1 Full-time Faculty position, term ending in 2012,
1 Full-time Faculty position, term ending in 2013 and
1 Adjunct position, term ending in 2013.
