Access to Albany Business Review set to change in February

The Albany Business Review (ABR) is a weekly publication highlighting Capital Region business news; it publishes the popular annual Book of Lists as well. The library provides online access to the ABR, which is particularly popular with the Entrepreneurship program.

Beginning Feb. 1, the subscription portal model (which just requires authentication using HVCC single sign-on authentication from off-campus) is changing to Office Pass, which will require setting up a user account and password unique to ABR. Continuation of the subscription next year will depend on the number of accounts that have been set up in order to justify the price increase tied to the ABR Office Pass. If you are interested in ABR, please set up an account so the library can accurately assess the value of this resource.

Faculty, staff and administrators are encouraged to subscribe.

Detailed instructions are provided online at https://libguides.hvcc.edu/business/abr. Note the instructions about customizing the alerts so you aren’t inundated with ABR messages. Employee accounts will not expire. However, all student accounts will be expired at the end of each academic semester and must be reset at the start of the next semester.

Contact Brenda Hazard or your liaison librarian for assistance with setting up your subscription.  Albany Business Review is listed on the library’s Database Finder A-Z listing with both the current portal access model, as well as the new Office Pass model.
