ITS has provided remote access to as many HVCC resources as possible. We recognize that many scenarios are likely missing. If you do not poses the tools you need to work from home, but have been asked to work from home, Please contact the ITS helpdesk at 518-629-7364 to discuss your specific scenario. We will accommodate where possible.
Desktop access
For VDI users
Both VMware and Citrix will be available to employees from home using the client for each. The client can be downloaded and installed from here:
Choose the appropriate client for the type of device you will be connecting from. Both clients are available for all major desktops and mobile platforms, enabling a wide variety of ways to access your desktops. Configuring these clients is simple and Instructions are being developed currently.

For non-VDI users- (physical builds)
Many users are not in VDI due to special application needs. For these users, we will be providing remote access to their desktop. Access will be provided via the Citrix application Those users will need to download and install the Citrix Client. Once configured, users will be able to select their desktop and connect to it remotely.
